Are you a carrier? +

iDrive Logistics is not a carrier like UPS and FedEx; rather, we partner with companies like yours and work with the carriers to create tailored agreements that truly align your business with the best supply chain solution, bringing significant savings to your bottom line.

What if I have been told I already have the best rates? +

Most of our clients had a similar response, which is why we offer a complete shipping analysis. Worst case scenario, we come back and validate that your rates are unbeatable. However, with a 100% success rate, we are confident we would come back with savings.

Does iDrive use Benchmarking to get me the best rates? +

We will never use benchmarking. Although benchmarking can be an effective tool in helping companies improve many areas of their business, in regard to pricing and rates in the parcel world, it can be very misleading and actually harm the relationships you have with your carriers. The problem with benchmarking when evaluating a pricing agreement is that no two shippers are enough alike when it comes to cost to serve for a carrier that they can be compared. Pricing the carrier can offer will not be identical for different shippers and cannot be compared or “benchmarked”. This will be true whether using the amount spent with the carrier, the number of packages shipped, or when using shippers from the same industry for comparison. A shipper comparing themselves to another will either feel they are not being treated well by the carrier(s), leading to contention, or they will leave dollars on the table.

What if I already have a 3PL? +

Let’s chat. 3PL services can vary broadly, and we want to be sure your entire supply chain is running as optimally as possible. It all starts with a small parcel spend analysis. Our team members have been on both sides of the carrier negotiation table. They have worked with the major carriers to help create the terms of shipping agreements, and they understand carrier-shipper cost models. All that knowledge has been baked into.

Our end goal is to improve your relationship with your carrier, starting with looking at every cost you are being charged. Every shipping situation is different, making benchmarking an ineffective approach to working with your carrier.
